FORUS knows how to have a great time! We hold multiple events and fundraisers throughout the year. In the Spring when the weather is on the cooler side, we host one of the monthly Ladies Who Lunch events. In the early summer one of our veteran members, Shelly Heimer, hosts the annual H5 Partnered Golf Tournament and it is so fun! The community really comes out for this one! Then in the Fall once the weather is enjoyable in the evenings, we have our annual Soiree at Hatfield Creek Winery. This event has become a favorite of our members. Raffles, baskets, dinner, local wine, music and more.

Ladies Who Lunch

Details: FORUS hosts a Ladies Who Lunch once a year at a local winery. We provide a delicious lunch, mingle, and spread the importance of our mission with local entrepreneurs and community leaders.

The Ladies Who Lunch group is a social networking group of friends, neighbors, business people and volunteers who live and/or work in Ramona and like to get together for lunch. We talk to each other in Facebook groups all the time. Ladies Who Lunch is where you can now MEET your Facebook friends and get to know them.

2024 H5 Partnered Golf Tournament

Details: H5 Financial Owner/Broker Shelly Heimer has been the wind beneath FORUS’ wings. Since 2015, she has presented her Chip in for Education Golf Tournament, attracting more than 100 golfers and raising thousands of dollars each year. The only exception was during the pandemic when tournaments were prohibited. FORUS Super Friend Shelly and her team do all the heavy lifting preparing for these fun tournaments, which draw players from throughout Ramona and surrounding communities. A generous woman with three children who have gone or are going through the Ramona school system, Shelly grew up in Ramona and places a high value on giving back to the community. The Chip in for Education tournaments are held at local golf courses in the June timeframe each year.

Soiree Under the Stars

Details: When it comes to FORUS fundraisers, Soiree Under the Stars is among the most relaxed. Held in the fall at rotating local Ramona wineries, it brings the community together for a social evening of conversation, wine, and music. Guests mingle while they learn more about FORUS, bid on silent auction gift baskets, and enjoy food prepared by a Ramona caterer and live music from Ramona musicians. A looping slideshow showcases the variety of FORUS activities and health and safety projects since its inception in 2013, and guests have fun pictures taken in the photo booth. Sponsors contribute a great deal to the event and are publicly acknowledged at the event and in the media.
